WHATS HAPPENING IN 2019!

People nowadays are more expressive regarding showing their true color. This also affects on how fashion trends are becoming more avant-garde day by day. Because one might believe that what you wear speaks more about you.

But! not all people can relate to this statement, and not all people are fashionable or have the time to choose what to wear day by day. But for most of us, everyday is red carpet (even when its not!) so i decided to make whats-in in 2019! Here’s few things i gathered:

HIPPY MODERNISM

Designers took an escapist turn with the season’s Neo Boho trend. The look is long, languid and sensual, saturated in warm desert and sunset hues at Chloé and Loewe or clashing carpet and tile prints, as at Paco Rabanne and Philip Lim.

With this trend you’ll see amulet jewellery, crochet pieces and raffia accessories, an ode to souvenirs picked up on pilgrimages to Ibiza, Joshua Tree or an ashram in India.

LOW KEY UTILITY

At his debut Louis Vuitton menswear show in June, Virgil Abloh introduced the concept of ‘accessomorphosis’: the transformation of bags and wallets into clothing. This season, everyone from Chanel to Proenza Schouler did a riff on that theme, with boxy car coats at Fendi featuring patch pockets labelled ‘Keys’, ‘Coins’ and ‘Phone’.

Proof that fourth-wave feminism can take designers down unexpected avenues, the thinking behind this trend is, presumably, if you have to multi-task, so should your clothes.

SQUARE TOES

We’ve been seeing a 90s revival in many ways over the last year, with slip dresses, satin skirts, fluffy accessories and, yes, even frosted lip shades making a come back. But we’ve yet to see this one 90s trope striding back down the streets, until now that is.

Back in the guise of satin pumps and flats at Erdem, giving Regency vibes and in the form of high heeled boots at Cavalli, the square toe is having a renaissance.

And if you thought square-toed shoes were a blip on the radar, you’d be wrong. The AW19 show season is currently underway, with brands like Eckhaus Latta putting square toed boots (a collaboration with UGG) on their cosiest looks.

One thing I love about New York is the fact that exercising is a lifestyle. No matter where and when, no matter who. Because of that, I realized that so many people have been into sports bra as a fashion item. They obviously nailed it. After thinking about it, I noticed that the main key to wearing a sports bra as a fashion item is to pair it up with your favorite high-waist: like a pair of high waist jeans or an outer/blazer.

I tried different ways to take my sports bra to a different game. I paired it up with my black blazer and slacks. To get more on the formal side, I put on a white sneakers and finished the look with a black bag.

There, i took sport bra into another different game. It is not sport anymore cause the touch of casual and formal. It can be wear without you have to excercise first.

lately i’ve been replacing my “i’m sorry”s with “thank you”s, like instead of “sorry i’m late” i’ll say “thanks for waiting for me”, or instead of “sorry for being such a mess” i’ll say “thank you for loving me and caring about me unconditionally” and it’s not only shifted the way i think and feel about myself but also improved my relationships with others who now get to receive my gratitude instead of my negativity

hold a cold rag/tissue to your eyes and anywhere else that tends to get red or blotchy for two minutes

regulate your breathing so your blood flow evens out

fix your makeup and make sure you’re not sweaty

go back out and live a lie

Pat dry your face - DONT rub. It will agitate the skin and make it red again.

Fan your face too, feels good as well as reducing redness.

AND IF SOMEONE STILL NOTICES AND ASKS ABOUT IT.
