Cleaning toilets is how my mother feeds and clothes our family and how she is managing to put both my brother and me through college. It breaks my heart to hear how people treat her as if she’s less than them - as if she’s beneath them. My mother is the strongest woman that I know. She is bright and intelligent and kind and deserves respect, just as every single person does. Stop looking down on people and treating them as less than human because of their job. Stop.
